Love the scent.

Ips!

A couple of days ago I went on a new-perfume-hunt! Now, this is a very tough task for me because I'm very picky about choosing a new scent. Rarely find something I really like ... But! This time, mission accomplished! My nose needed some days to recover though, because after sniffing all those perfumes I couldn't smell properly anymore!

Anyway, the one I picked up is ... Body from Burberry! It's not a strong, harsh scent, but after 5 hours of wearing it, you'll still be able to notice it's smell. Which one I find difficult to describe. Kind of, flowery-wooden-musky lemon ... -ish? I very much recommend to try it on when you visit a perfume store. Most times I spray a little on my scarf too, so I can bury my nose in it and have a little sniff. Lovely! Love the bottle too, so classy, but still simple and sober. And sturdy too, so nothing can break off when you put it in your bag.

Body Eau De Parfum 35 ml - Ici Paris XL - € 56
Body Eau De Parfum 60 ml - Ici Paris XL - € 72

Apologies for the blurry photo. I'd very much like to make them myself but my camera wasn't programmed correctly I see. So here's another view.

They gave me some samples of other perfumes too when I bought the Body one. And just love the smell of Chloé In Love too! It's not clear for you to see on my photo, but I've already used half of it! This one is less musky and a little lighter and floral then Body. It kind of reminds me of baby-products and soap, but then in a more elegant and luxurious form. When I sniff it, I think of a nice warm bath, with candles and incense. Very cosy! Might pick this one up later!

Chloé In Love 50 ml - Ici Paris XL - € 81,50

Hope you enjoyed!

Wishlist.

Hi there!

Since I've been watching a lot of "My everyday make-up routine" video's on Youtube, I've picked up some names of products I'd like to buy sometime.
Until now I've only been familiar with drugstore make-up brands, because my skin gets irritated quite easily.
But as I grew older and wiser -cough- , I noticed my skin can tolerate more too! Yay! Experimenting!

So ... The first thing I'd like to try is the Mac Studio Sculpt SPF Foundation. When I was in London during the holidays, a shop-assistent from Mac put it on my face and I really liked the look. It says 'medium coverage', but I'd say it's rather something in between medium and full coverage. However it doesn't look caked-on. Liked it alot! Too bad I was broke back then ... Shopping in London is by far the nicest thing to do in England! Anyway, I'm planning on buying the foundation here. Sadly there is no Mac-store anywhere near and the color that suits my skinetone best (NC20) isn't available online. Will be checking the site once in a while though, maybe I'm lucky next time! Thumbs up!

€ 30.00 - Mac

Also tried this in London: another Mac product, the Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder. It makes potential cracks and lines in your foundation dissapear and softens the look. How? Because this super super thin powder seals all the little pits that are left in your face. Result? You won't look shiny and sweaty the whole day and your make-up stays in place! Hooray! ... I did need to sneeze 6 times, hah.
€ 21,50 - Mac

Next one is something I already use, namely the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Concealer. It's quite multifunctional since it doesn't only hide skin-imperfections, but serves well as a highlighter too! I use the Ivory Lumière, because my skin is very pink-ish. But it comes in 5 other colors as well. Bought mine at Ici Paris XL. Cute appearance too, shiny gold! Oh and it might look small, but it goes a long way!

€ 33,20 - YSL

Another concealer I saw being used in a video comes in palet-form: the Make-up Forever Camouflage Cream Palet. Pretty much the same goal as the one above, but I love the fact that this one is a bit more specialized. It's feels kind of creamy they said and you have to smooth it out with a brush. But this texture will stick to your skin whereas a powder would be more likely to 'crumble' off. I almost cried when I noticed there's no store - again!- close to where I live. Sadface ...
€ 27,30 - Make-Up Forever

And last but not least, Make-up Forever Sculpting Kit. With this one you can sort of "remodel" the shape of your face by applying the darker color on places where you want to create a shadow. The light color goes on the areas you want to stand out. I'd really love to try this one to add more depth to my face. Especially my cheekbones. Yes, I have a balloon-head!

€ 31,80 - Make-up Forever

Mmm, by this time I noticed I haven't talked about the more colorful products at all, such as lipsticks or blushes. Looks like something for next time! Oh, I'm such a tease, hihi.

Loves!

Always stay ...

The past few months I had to think about what I wanted to do with my life. I wasn't unhappy, but I wasn't really too sure about what direction my life was taking me either. Like as if I couldn't follow it myself.

Took me a lot of mistakes and time to get things sorted out. Re-thinking, advice from friends, etc. It got me even so far I swapped my field of study ànd city for another (Biomedical Sciences in Louvain - Veterinary Science in Ghent). And even worse: I switched back too. It all sounds pretty weird, but it has helped me realize that I really liked things how they were in the first place. Because I got the chance to compare. As they say: 'You'll only miss it when it's gone'. But then ... not everyone seemed so pleased with all my little adventures. Got a little upset and dissapointed too.

Eventually I figured there will always be criticism and you can't make everybody happy. Life is a choice you have to make all alone. People shouldn't judge you when they don't know your reasons to pursue something. You just got to be with the people you love and make you happy. Make your own lessons, live your own life :)

Hope this helps someone who is currently having the same issues.
